This course aims to provide participants who have an existing basic knowledge of, or experience in, environmental management with an understanding of the management systems approach and the requirements of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
The knowledge and skills required to perform an internal audit of part of a quality management system based on ISO 9001 and part of environmental management system based on ISO 14001 and
Report on the effective implementation and accordance with ISO 19011.
Objectives:
Upon completion, successful participants will be able to:
- Understand and outline the structure and content of ISO 9001 and its relationship with 9000 & ISO 14001 and its relationship with ISO 14004.
- Understand and explain the specific quality management-related requirements of ISO 9001 & environmental management-related requirements of ISO 14001.
- Explain the process-based environmental management system model for ISO 9001 & 14001, with reference to the Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle, and the role of internal audit in the maintenance and improvement of environmental management systems
- Explain the role and responsibilities of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal environmental management system audit, in accordance with ISO 19011
- Plan, conduct, report and follow up an internal audit of part of a environmental management system based on ISO 9001 & ISO 14001, and in accordance with ISO 19011
